Payments & Billing
Zennor integrates seamlessly with PayU to handle all your clinic's financial transactions securely. Whether it's an upfront purchase or a recurring monthly membership, the payments module acts as your central financial hub.
1. Setting Up Your Payment Gateway
To begin accepting payments through your Zennor Custom Patient App, you must integrate your PayU credentials.
- Navigate to the Settings tab in your Admin Panel.
- Select the Payments & Billing section.
- Enter your PayU Merchant Key and PayU Salt.
- Click Connect Gateway.
Ensure your PayU account is fully KYC-verified and live before connecting. Test mode credentials should not be used in the production app.
2. Managing Transactions
Once integrated, all financial activity is tracked within the Payments tab of your Admin Panel.
Viewing the Ledger
The main Payments dashboard provides a real-time ledger of all transactions:
- Status: See if a payment is
Success,Pending, orFailed. - Source: Identify whether the transaction came from an In-App Purchase, an In-Clinic Payment Link, or a Recurring Subscription.
- Patient Details: Click on any transaction to view exactly who made the purchase and the associated cart items.
3. Recurring Memberships (Auto-Billing)
Zennor's most powerful financial feature is its ability to automatically bill patients for memberships.
How it Works
When a patient signs up for a Membership (Standard or Custom) via the app, PayU securely tokenizes their card. The Zennor system then automatically charges that card on the configured billing cycle (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually).
Failed Payments & Dunning
If a recurring payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds):
- Automated Notification: The patient receives an automated push notification and email requesting they update their payment method in the app.
- Grace Period: The system will attempt to re-bill the card 3 times over 7 days.
- Suspension: If all attempts fail, the patient's membership perks are automatically temporarily suspended until the balance is cleared.
4. Payment Links (In-Clinic)
While the Patient App handles mobile checkouts, your receptionist can also trigger payments physically in the clinic without a point-of-sale card reader.
- Open the patient's checkout invoice on the Reception Dashboard.
- Click Generate Payment Link.
- A PayU SMS/WhatsApp link is instantly sent to the patient's phone.
- The patient taps the link, pays via UPI/Card on their own device, and the Zennor invoice automatically marks itself as 'Paid' on the receptionist's screen in real-time.
Payment Links drastically reduce queues at the front desk and eliminate the need for expensive card swiping hardware and corresponding rental fees.
